Services

Point Forward Solutions provides a range of strategic consulting services, including:

STRATEGIC CONSULTING ADVISOR

We serve as an advisor to a number of CEOs, Executive Teams and boards of organizations whereby we work in a more involved way and over a longer period, often from three months to a year, on strategic planning and execution of a strategic plan or key initiatives. In the case of health systems, this can come in the form helping health systems shape their post-acute network to lower costs, improve quality and reduce readmissions.

STRATEGIC PROJECTS

We are available for short-term engagements for special strategic projects. Such engagements tend to focus on “hot spot” issues for organizations, including performing Strategic Audits on their business, crafting specific strategies for infusing innovation with an organization and helping health systems identify areas of focus for readmission reduction.

INDUSTRY WORKSHOPS AND STRATEGY SESSIONS

We organize and execute on workshops for executive teams, boards and staff on the state of the Health Care and Senior Care market with a focus on the present and imminent changes in the field. With some additional preparation, these workshops can be tailored as strategy sessions to map the changes and opportunities in the field to the competencies of a given organization. These sessions tend to be ½ day to full day engagements with the cost depending on the size of the audience, customization of the content and travel involved.

White Papers

Point Forward Solutions regularly develops thought pieces pertaining to the Health Care and Seniors Housing industries.

Making Innovation Work

The white paper “Making Innovation Work” presents a blueprint for organizations in Seniors Housing & Care to simultaneously prepare for today and tomorrow and introduces the concept of “Ambidextrous Organizations” – organizations that are able to balance exploiting their current business while also exploring new opportunities. This pieces unpacks fundamental changes in the field in the years ahead and strategies to use innovation – both sustaining and disruptive – as a vehicle to exploit these changes in a measured risk-taking way.

Why Aging in Place Matters

The white paper “Why Aging in Place Matters” asserts that “aging in place”, the desire for an older adult to stay in a particular residential setting as long as possible even as health care needs increase, is becoming the defining phenomenon both inside and outside of Seniors Housing. This piece unpacks key implications of aging in place, reviews several possible solutions and maps a plan of possible next steps for key stakeholders. (Note: the white paper focuses mostly on the impact of aging in place on Independent Living and Continuing Care Retirement Communities.)
